AK Steel Q1 2008 earnings

AK Steel announced earnings today. EBITDA per ton was $142 in Q1, which beat AK’s 2007 average of $129. The company guided towards higher margins in Q2, with operating income per ton expected to hit a record level of $125. This implies Q2 EBITDA per ton close to $160. AK Steel Q4 2007 results

AK Steel announced Q4 and full year 2007 results today. Operating income for Q4 was $98 per ton and EBITDA was $128 per ton. AK indicated that Q1 2008 operating income should be around $100 per ton. I’ll be tracking quarterly results in an on-line spreadsheet here.
