Nerds of Steel

Here’s an update of the IISI’s list of the world’s largest steelmakers in 2007 in a form you can do something with. The data on the 2006 tab is from Metal Bulletin and has their list for 2005.

In the continuing NoS series of gathering profiles of some of the largest steel companies in the world, here’s an extremely comprehensive profile of ThyssenKrupp Steel made by the company itself in October of 2007. There are details of the parent corporation, but much more detailed information about the two main steelmaking groups, carbon & stainless.
