Worldsteel published July’s global crude steel production on August 21st. World crude production was 129.7 million tonnes, 1.8% higher than in July 2011 for the 62 countries reporting. worldsteel published December 2011 and full-year 2011 world crude steel production on Monday. Looking at the monthly results, December production increased 1.5% over November to 117 million metric tonnes, though daily production declined 1.8%. China, the US, Russia and Turkey each showed significantly higher production while France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Japan all showed declines. [...]
