Worldsteel makes upward revision to 2013 & 2014 apparent steel use

World crude steel production was 130.4 million metric tonnes, 5.4% higher than in August 2012 and 1.1% lower than in July 2013. US long products imports rise 12% in August

Based on reported import licenses, US long products imports rose 12% from 213,000 short tons in July to 238,000 tons in August.
