Based on reported import licenses, US flat products imports fell 30% from 826,000 short tons in April, 2022 to 577,000 tons in April, 2023. China crude steel production up 6.9% on March, 2023 to 95.7Mt, 58% of world output

Worldsteel forecasts steel demand to rise 2.3% in 2023, 1.3% higher than October, 2022 forecast
