US flat products imports fall 10% on June 2019

Based on reported import licenses, US flat products imports fell 10% from 586,000 short tons in June 2019 to 527,000 tons in June this year. Worldsteel steel demand forecast -6.4% in 2020, down 8.1% on October 2019 prediction

In its latest Short Range Outlook (SRO), published June 4th, Worldsteel revised its steel demand growth forecast for 2020 downward due to the Covid-19 crisis.
