Nerds of Steel earnings spreadsheet updated with Nucor results

Nerds of Steel earnings spreadsheet updated with US Steel results

January 27, 2016

US Steel announced Q4 and full year 2015 results yesterday after the market closed. The company’s Q4 EBITDA per ton fell to a negative ($38) per ton, down from a positive $20 per ton in Q3. Under current market conditions, US Steel expects to be near break even on an EBITDA basis in 2016.

China crude steel production 64.4Mt in December and 803.8Mt in 2015

Worldsteel reported crude steel production in China at 64.4 million metric tonnes in December, 5.2% lower than in December 2014.
