China results for Jan: crude production up 10%, exports down 40%

Chinese crude steel production grew 10% between December and January to reach 41.5 million metric tonnes. Exports declined to 1.91 million tonnes in January, a full 40% decrease on December, and apparent domestic consumption was 37.8 million tonnes compared to 33.1 million tonnes in December.

China results for Nov: crude production down 2%, exports down 36%

November crude steel production in China declined 2% to reach 35.19 million metric tonnes while finished steel production remained flat at 42.30 million tonnes.  Finished steel exports dropped 36% from October to 2.95 million tonnes and apparent domestic consumption reached a high of 40.37 million tonnes.

China results for Sept: crude production drops 7%

Crude steel production in China dropped 7% between August and September, falling to 39.61 million metric tonnes. This is the lowest crude production level since the June peak of 46.94mt. Net exports dropped from 6.35mt to 5.39mt in September due to a 1mt decline in exports.
